Intercropping Spinach and Red Amaranth With Brinjal Under Different Planting System

The experiment was conducted at Agronomy Research Field of Bangladesh Agricultural Institute, Gazipur, during the rabi season 2018 to 2019 and 2020 find out suitable crop combination spinach (Spinacia oleracea) red amaranth (Amaranthus cruentus) with brinjal (Solanum melongena) for higher equivalent yield, monetary advantage maximize land utilization through intercropping system. Treatments were: T1 = 2 rows (50%) in between two (100%), T2 3 Spinach (75%) T3 T4 T5 Sole ( 80 cm × 60 cm), T6 (Line line 20 cm) T7 were used study. All combinations showed better performance terms gross return benefit cost ratio (BCR) over sole crops. Among combinations, row (100%) most feasible profitable system respect yield (34.72 t ha-1), (1.57), (Tk. 6,94,346 ha- 1), margin 4,59,088 ha-1) (2.95). From years, results revealed that all treatments productive as compared but (line 75% (80 100% intercropped might be agronomically economically profitable.
